Leprino Foods Company – Colorado
Final building size 756,000 sq. ft. on a 100-acre site, making it one of Leprino’s largest facilities and one of the largest cheese making plants in the world.
Phase One and office building were completed in 2011, and Phase Two was completed in 2013. The facility now generates two billion pounds of mozzarella per year and created 500 jobs within the county.
The spaces include one whey dryer and one lactose dryer; two evaporators; 44,000 sq. ft. of refrigerated warehouse; and 33,000 sq. ft. of dry warehouse.
Construction under way for the Phase 3 expansion includes new dry warehouse spaces; new truck receiving bays; and new processing spaces, including new evaporator and dryer towers.
