Electrical Engineer/Designer

Portland, OR; Denver, CO; Holland, MI

In this role, you will design and layout electrical power distribution systems, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, communications, closed circuit TV camera, public address and perform power flow, short circuit, arc flash, and lighting illumination calculations.

There are many opportunities to make an impact as you work on entire system design and build direct relationships with the clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design, layout and detailing of lighting and electrical power distribution for manufacturing facilities in the food & beverage industry
  • Produce technical plans, specifications, drawings and models.
  • Work primarily with 3D BIM/Revit while managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Visit project sites to assist with measuring, data collection and construction observation
  • Prepare and present technical presentations to peers, project teams and clients

Candidates should have:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with Revit, or desire and aptitude to learn the software quickly
  • Self-motivation with a strong work ethic
  • Understanding of and a motivation for adopting a client-service attitude
  • Intellectual curiosity, willingness to learn, and desire to be challenged and grow
  • An interest in electrical design for food and beverage manufacturing facilities
  • Genuine and responsible approach to work, following through with required tasks, and working for the success of the team and organization

An ideal candidate will have internship experience with the electrical design of manufacturing facilities as well as experience with Revit.
